Martha Lee is a Yawuru-Karajarri artist based in Broome. This design shows the creatures from the nagula (ocean) that are some of her favourite sources of food-the gurlibil (sea turtle) and nganarr (dugong). Gurlibil and nganarr are best hunted in Barrgana Season (around June-August) when they are nice and fat.
