Artist story:
Rowena is a Kija woman who grew up in Halls Creek in the East Kimberley. She says of this design ” This print tells the story of my Grandfather’s Gooniyandi Country. When I was growing up we’d go fishing and camping out with my family at Eagle Hawk Gorge on Gooniyandi Country. The Mary River and the Margaret River run off the Fitzroy River, connecting to my Grandmother’s Kija Country. I like that these river systems connect my family groups, representing how family if connected.”
This is a limited-edition piece of clothing. There are only 30 of these made across the 5 sizes.
*Please note that the pattern placement will vary slightly on each garment.
