The base fabric is a natural off white colour and is a six-colour print with red, light green, silver grey, black, cream and mustard details.
Martha Lee is a Yawuru and Karajarri woman from Broome. She began her art career in 2005 and is one of Nagula Jarndu’s more senior artists. Her art has a strong sense of pattern and colour inspired by the Kimberley landscape and traditional stories.
Mangoes grow abundantly in Man-gala, the wet season when all the plants are growing fast and the trees are fruiting. They are a favourite fruit here in the Kimberley and lots of people look forward to mango season!
