Lengths of handprinted screen printed fabric on 100% dupion silk 137cm wide
The base fabric is ‘peacock’ and is a three-colour print with very light green, black and light blue coloured details.
Gabriella is a Walmajarri-Nykina artist from Fitzroy Crossing, but now based in Broome.
Her works consista of imagery that speaks to her Grandmother’s Country and is a tribute to her ancestral homelands, The Great Sandy Desert.
The seeds of the kurrajong tree may be eaten when roasted, either ground into a flour or consumed without modification. The flowers and roots may also be eaten.
