Lengths of handprinted screen printed fabric on 100% silk dupion 137cm wide

The base fabric is “rust” red and is a two-colour print in black with cream details.

Miss Chiguna was a Walmajarri woman from Djugerari, a small community approximately 200 km outside of Fitzroy Crossing. Miss Chiguna had a cheeky vibrancy to her and brought a smile to those around her. With her family’s permission, we are happy to continue to celebrate her life through her art.

Mabu Mayi shows the bush tukka that Miss Chiguna found out on her Country in Djugerari. You can see bush turkey, grasshoppers and various seeds and nuts.
